Are You Storing Food Safely? The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) notes that when, where, and how you store food can help prevent foodborne illnesses. The FDA offers  pointers for safely storing food in your refrigerator, freezer, and cupboards.

Safety of Food Packaging. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is responsible for ensuring the safety of all food packaging, including components of packaging materials that are expected to migrate into food. The agency refers to these materials as "food contact substances." One food contact substance that has received a lot of attention recently is bisphenol A (BPA). Bottled Water Everywhere: Keeping It Safe.
